Golo drops new single ‘Sip’, continues steady rise in music scene

Fast-rising Nigerian artiste, Golo, has continued his gradual rise in the music industry with the release of his latest single titled Sip, a record that further highlights his passion, confidence and evolving sound.

Born Gold Felix, Golo’s journey into music began at an early age. At just 14, he started experimenting with music using mobile recording applications such as Tune Me, where he explored melodies and sound creation. By 16, he recorded his first professional studio session, a defining moment that marked the beginning of his artistic development.

Influenced by some of Africa’s biggest music exports including Rema, Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy, Golo draws inspiration from their versatility, global appeal and strong connection with audiences. For the young artiste, music goes beyond entertainment.

“Music is life to me,” he said. “I cannot go ten hours without listening to music. That love is why I started making music, and why I want to inspire people through what I create.”

Golo officially launched his professional music career last year with his debut single, Slow Wine, which introduced listeners to his style and laid the foundation for his musical journey. With only two singles released so far, the artiste says he is focused on growing intentionally and building a solid career.

His latest offering, Sip, emerged from a freestyle session in the studio. According to Golo, the song was created effortlessly while he connected with the beat, allowing the melody and lyrics to come naturally.

“The song just came to my head at that moment,” he explained. “It was inspired by my vibe and the Flamezz in me.”

Sip reflects Golo’s instinctive approach to music, blending energy, confidence and a laid-back groove that mirrors his personality. The track provides a clearer glimpse into his artistic direction and growing confidence as an emerging voice in the industry.

Looking ahead, Golo remains committed to consistency, personal growth and meaningful collaborations. He has expressed interest in working with the same artistes who inspired his journey, while continuing to develop a sound that stays true to his story.

With the release of Sip, Golo takes another bold step forward, positioning himself as an artiste to watch as he continues to carve his path in the Nigerian music scene.
