…Orders for more recruitment of teachers

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum on Wednesday flagged off the construction of multi million naira Mega school in Marama town of Hawul local government area of Borno state.
The Mega school which is a 2-storey building with 36 classrooms, offices and other structures is located at the Central Primary School Marama, an old missionary school established in the 1930s’ with dilapidated conditions.
This is as the Governor also commissioned a shopping complex at Pakilama/Marama Main Market which was executed by the Chairman of the Council, Hon. Hussaini Malgwi. He further
laid another foundation for the construction of higher Islamic College in Shani Local Government Area which would have 48 classrooms and other infrastructures.
While in Marama town, the Governor said, the gesture was inline with his campaign promises to transform the education sector for the better and development across all communities in the state.
The Mega schoool when completed will also has computer section and laboratory fully equipped with digital tools.
Zulum however not with dismay over the inadequate teachers in Marama Central Primary School, where he immediately directed for recruitment of qualified Teachers for the school and that of the Junior Secondary School Marama.
“I am happy to lay the foundation of Mega School in Marama town. We are going to support you in all ramifications. Inline with my campaign promises that we shall deliver and transform the education sector, this government will construct a befitting 2-storey building with 36 classrooms in addition to other facilities.
“Due to shortage of teachers, we must recruit competent teachers who are indigenes of Marama to teach in this school”. Zulum stated.
The Governor therefore reaffirmed firmed his administration’s commitment to revamping the education sector through substantial investment in infrastructure, manpower development, digital and vocational skills.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Engr. Lawan Abba Wakilbe, noted that the Marama Central Primary school which was established by missionaries in the 1930s’ have dilapidated structures that must be demolished to pave the way for the Mega school project.
He commended the Governor for his foresight and commitment towards revamping the education sectors across all the 27 local government areas of the state.
The Governor was received by prominent sons and daughters of Marama including the Vice Chancellor of Nike University Abuja, Professor. Dilli Dogo, former Commissioner and Chairman of Hawul, Hon. Inuwa Bwala, traditional rulers, academia, religious leaders among others.
Zulum was accompanied by Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume (Borno South), fomrer Deputy Goveronors, Usman Mamman Durkwa Ali Abubakar Jatau, Hon. Bukar Talba; the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Abdullahi Musa Askira; members of the State Assembly, commissioners, local government chairmen, and other stakeholders from Southern Borno.
