African Union Youth Club appoints Temisan  as new President 

The African Union Youth Council sometimes referred to as Club (AUYC), has announced the appointment of a renowned entrepreneur/president and founder of Mayorkings Agency Group,  Dr. Temisan O. Louis, as its new president.

The appointment, which took effect from July 1, 2025, is for a period of two years, and is subject to renewal, based on performance and the approval of the Board of Trustees.

A letter conveying the appointment, which was signed by the chairman of AUYC, Amb. Professor Tunji John Asaolu, said that the appointment is at the instance of the Board of trustees , and as such found Amb. Dr. Temisan worthy of the exalted position due to his roles and personal impacts across the African continent over the years.

Ambassador Asaolu, who is a professor of politics and international studies, said that the new president of the club is expected to commit a reasonable amount of time each week to fulfill his duties effectively.

He added that the club also believes that Amb. Louis’ experience and commitment to youth development would significantly contribute to the success of the Nigeria chapter of the AUYC.

The letter explained that as the president of the Nigeria chapter of the club, Amb. Louis’ responsibilities would include, but not limited to: leadership representation; program implementation; recruitment and training; community engagement; as well as monitoring and reporting.

The African Union Youth Council (AUYC), also sometimes referred to as a “club,” is a network of youth-led organizations and initiatives supported by the African Union. 

It aims to empower young Africans through various programs, including the African Union Youth Volunteer Corps (AU-YVC), which provides opportunities for young people to contribute to development across the continent.
