The youths of the Celestial Church of Christ, CCC, worldwide have been charged to uphold the principles and doctrines of Christ as well as propagating His gospel on earth.

The charge was made at the 2025 Rev Prophet SBJ Oshoffa 40th Transition Anniversary Quiz Competition organised by the True Word in Season, a group saddled with the responsibility of spreading the gospel of Christ and the true doctrine of the CCC.

The quiz competition was attended by 30 parishes of the Celestial Church of Christ nationwide.

The winner of the competition was the CCC National Headquarters with grand prize of $1,500, while Mokola Parish took the second position with N500,000 cash prize and Sharon Parish with the third place with N250,000 cash prize respectively.

In his charge, Shepherd-in-Charge of the CCC National Headquarters, Makoko, Yaba, Venerable Superior Evangelist Afis Kiki,, called on the youths to use their talents for the propagation of the gospel of Christ and shun all mundane doctrines and satanic influence

“Let youth come up with their IT intelligence with whatever they can do to promote the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. So, I am happy that this is coming in our time.

“Promoting the gospel should be the focus of the youth by now refusing all satanized infusion into Christianity and allow Jesus Christ to prevail by the power of the Holy Spirit.

“This is an internationally organized quiz competition and it is the best that we can think of as far as futuristic mission is concerned and since the church was established.

“And we thank God for the ambition and the zeal that the youths are exhibiting and it is the best thing to happen to the Celestial Church of Christ in the whole world.

“The Church was founded purely, solely and simply for the purpose of the preaching of the Gospel, for the salvation of humanity.

“When the Church was founded on May 23, 1947, precisely by the voice that late Rev Samuel Oshoffa heard, which was ‘The Grace has come’. And since that time, all we inherited from Papa was no other thing than the preaching of the Word of God.

“If you are having the word imbibed in you, you will resist all forms of temptation. The world has been satanized since Genesis chapter three, Satan enter into this world, polluted God’s declarations and the youth with the Word of God will resist Satan and will prevail against his wishes for their destinies.

“The devil is the first enemy of God, and so youths should be the first enemy to this devil. Shun all mundane activities and refuse devil. Devil is a fallen foe. He is a fallen angel. a falling leader, and has nothing to give, for he inherited nothing.

“They should not mortgage their life for any other thing, neither, allow any part of their body, their brain, their mission, their ambition, their intentions, their anxieties, to become a part of Devil’s instrument.

“Your intention should be according to the Word of God, and your ambition should be a part of God’s program concerning the preaching of the gospel, not only Celestial Church of Christ, Christianity, I mean the Christendom in general.

“If we resist the devil, then we will become children of God. And by that, the youth, whether we like it or not, the youths will take over, therefore we properl our youths to take over. I will be 78 years next year, and whether we like it or not, we are going to die.

“There is a time to be born and a time to die, it is not negotiable. So youths should get ready with whatever talent that is deposited in them by the leading of the Holy Spirit and, use it for the purpose of the gospel”, he charged.

Meanwhile, the Convener of the 2025 Rev SBJ Oshoffa 40th Transition Anniversary Quiz Competition and the True Word in Season, Brother Bolaji Adebola disclosed that the purpose of the competition is to pass on the legacy to the next generation.

The competition began in 1979 during the days of late Rev SBJ Oshoffa. Some of the pictures were shown during the program. The kegacy that was passed on to us is what we want to give to the children coming after us.

“The youths have witnessed the quiz and the way it was organized. They are learning, getting information, and they have been equipped. As they grow, they will continue in it. The Church will remain in its proper state.

As Sunday school children, we were taught the principles and doctrines of Christ as well as the true word of God and the true doctrine of Celestial Church of Christ. Everything, we were taught was the right word of God, such that we know and have the knowledge of the Bible and we have the knowledge of the doctrine of the Church.

“So there is no need for confusion anywhere. You cannot be dissuaded and that was what late Rev Oshoffa did in his days. I was a participant of the Sunday School that time coupled with the fact that I met late Oshoffa, he spoke with me, I was 7 years old then.

“We had something from the fathers that was kept with us, and we are able to give it out to those who are coming behind us.

“Bible studies is in the culture of the church, unfortunately, there have been invasion. Some of the confused teachers, indoctrinated teachers invaded the church.

“We had information from our fathers, and these are informations that wouldl take us through the storms of indoctrination. And when those invaders came, they came with another version of the Bible.

“The Bible was perfectly completed before God brought Celestial Church, and God gave us doctrines that are peculiar to the church.

“Late Rev SBJ Oshoffa gave us the truth and we saw in his days. He stood in front of the church and raised the Bible and said, If I have added anything to what God gave me, let me be a curse. He said it here. He said it on the pulpit. On the day he was to be laid to rest, at the city mall, a Rainbow came down to the fountain of city. That fountain was destroyed because of the rainbow that came on the water.

“Late Rev Prophet SBJ Oshoffa was the enigmatic spiritual leader of the CCC and a man of God and who upheld the truth of the word of God and that is why we are expected to continue the legacy”, he said.
