An educationist and Director, JC Best Schools International, Abuja, Kingsley Onuorah, weekend, commended the effort and commitment of the Deeper Life Bible Church, on raising godly youth over 50 years.

Onuorah made the commendation in an interview with the media on the sidelines of the ongoing youth camp in Abuja region under the auspices of the Global Retreat and Global Crusade with Kumuyi, GCK, holding across the world, with the theme ‘Experiencing the Power of His Resurrection, organized by the in Deeper Christian Life Ministry, DLCM, which the General Superintendent, DLCM, and Convener, GCK, Pastor William Kumuyi is ministering. The Easter Retreat and GCK started Thursday April 17 and will end on April 21, 2025.

The Deeper Life Easter Retreat Youth Camp, Abuja region, is holding in JC Best Schools International, with over 1,000 participants in attendance, while other parts of the FCT is also having their youth camps in over 10 regions of the Church while all hook-up to the ministration of Pastor Kumuyi via satellite broadcast.

Pastor Kumuyi has consistently impacted the lives of millions of young people nationally and globally who have also occupied positions in the society as professionals in different fields, thereby, have brought positive change to the people in their communities, countries and continents.

Onuorah said: “We work with Deeper Life, we work in partnership with them and with Peace House. They come here, we have some other people that try to help our students so that they will be hearing this Word of God because it is this Word that will make a difference in their lives.

“The situation in this country is such that we, at our level, really, we have not given, we’ve not asked for a good example to our children. We appear to have gotten to that level where the Bible says that after the death of Joshua, a generation came that knew not God, and God handed them over. In the Middle East, that is why you are here today.

“But when the Word of God is not properly taught, when it has been commercialized, because if you study the Bible very well, there’s only one thing we’re supposed to preach. One thing is not difficult. Jesus has been crucified.

“The situation in this country is such that we at our level, really, we have not given, we’ve not asked for a good example to our children, we appear to have gotten to that level where the Bible says that after the death of Joshua, a generation came that knew not God, and God handed them over to the enemies.

“But when the Word of God is not properly taught, when it has been commercialized because if you study the Bible very well, there is only one thing we’re supposed to preach. One thing is not difficult. Jesus has been crucified. It has changed, it is no longer what it used to be. So what do you expect? People talk about money and money.

“But there was this man who decided to stick his life and his throat so that we could have a theme like this theme we have now ‘Experiencing the Resurrection Power’.

“The essence of this season is for us to have this theme, bring young people together like what you are doing, and that is why we will say, even as a management team or whatever you are doing to get to this point that we will complement, and so you should keep it up, and so you too have really done well.

“We work with Deeper Life, we work in partnership with them and with Peace House. They come here, we have some other people that try to help our students so that they will be hearing this Word of God because it is this Word that will make a difference in their lives.”

Meanwhile, he said JC Best Schools International was established with a vision to build unique international schools, focused on producing the best and brightest overly balanced pupils and students.

However, he lamented the situation with young people in Nigeria as they lack the solid foundation of integrity and genuine way to make wealth, basically as most families and churches have put the illegitimate mentality of making money into their character.

“But wealth without workmanship is equal to fraud, and that is the kind of money people are looking for now, and so students will want to pay money. In Nigeria, unless the church goes back to the ancient landmark and the roots, we can begin to teach these people. Then we will be able to get to them, and in years to come, Nigeria will continue to be good and it is our deepest prayer and hope. The other one is education. That’s what we do to bring an overly balanced child. That is what we try to do, so that we can even play our own role”, he added.

Meanwhile, the State Youth Coordinator, Deeper Life Bible Church, Abuja, FCT, Pastor Fredrick Kenny, earlier charged the youth to focus on power and wealth and wisdom and might and honour and glory and blessing (Revelation 5:12), and also on behalf of the youth and the State Overseer, Deeper Life Bible Church, FCT, Abuja, appreciated the Director, JC Best Schools International for releasing their school facilities free of charge for Deeper Life Bible Church to hold the Youth Camp of the Easter Retreat.
