A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant, Ambassador Jude Ezenwafor, has declared that the party will shock the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and other political parties in the upcoming Anambra State Governorship Election scheduled for November 8, 2025.
Ezenwafor made this statement on Wednesday while submitting his expression of interest and nomination forms at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja.
He emphasized that Anambra has always been a PDP state, noting that many political heavyweights currently in other parties were once members of the PDP.
“All these guys you see in other parties in Anambra as political heavyweights were one-time PDP members. I am going to bring them back into the fold.
He added: “PDP will surprise everybody in Anambra because I am on a divine mission to rescue my people. I was called by God for this task.”
Ezenwafor expressed concern over the state’s insecurity and the dirty politics being played in Anambra, stating:
“I have been watching closely what is happening in Anambra State. The insecurity is alarming, and the level of political manipulation is troubling.
“I have elected myself for God to use me in Anambra State. I bring the light because Anambra is the Light of the Nation, and I want to restore that light.”
Addressing concerns that he is not well-known politically, Ezenwafor outlined his vast experience in governance, stating:
First PDP Youth Leader in Anambra State
Former Anambra State Youth Council President
Special Adviser on Youth & Mobilization – Governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju
Special Assistant on Security & Personal Aide – Governor Chris Ngige
Chief Protocol Officer – Governor Peter Obi
Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters & Strategy – Governor Willie Obiano (1st Term)
Senior Special Assistant on Political & Security Matters – Governor Willie Obiano (2nd Term)
Consul on Trade & Investment to the Caribbean Islands, Saint Vincent, and Greenland
Ezenwafor’s credentials and connections both within and outside the country, he argued, position him as the best candidate to lead Anambra into a new era of peace, stability, and economic growth.
