The senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Hajiya Ireti  Kingibe, has shared with a delegate of 13 parliamentarians from Uganda, her views on ways of maximazing inputs through effective utilisation of Constituency Development Funds, CDF.

The lawmaker was also joined by the delegates identified as Committee members on Budget in the Ugandan Parliament and top officials of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, in commissioning a 20,000 – liter, Solar Powered Borehole, she built with Community Development Funds, CDF, in Gwarimpa area of the FCT.

Addressing the group in her Constituency Office at Kadokuchi, Abuja, the senator through her Head of Constituency Office, HoC, Mr. Emmanuel John, enumerated some of her numerous constituency projects, completed and on-going, including her last year sponsorship of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Registration for no fewer than 2000 students, across the FCT, construction of approximately 1 kilometer road in Karu, training of over 1000 women and youths as social media experts and empowering them with N250, 000 each, Free Eye Care Outreach involving testing, issuance of glasses and surgery for 5000  residents.

Other CD projects include; training and empowering of over 200 FCT youths on various skills and entrepreneurship in collaboration with the Federal Polytechnic, Ukana, Akwa Ibom State, distribution of grinding machines, deep freezers, barbaque stands, power generators, big pots, etc, to each of the 250 women, carefully selected based on their need for empowerment, distribution of 2 trailer loads of fertilizer alongside 500 spraying machines to Abuja farmers, construction of a 50-bed-hospital in Dobi, Gwagwalada, distribution of N500m worth of medical equipment to hospitals across FCT, distribution of 30,000 bags of rice, 5kg each, to Abuja residents, installation of solar lights in 30 communities, rehabilitation of over 100 faulty boreholes, etc, also in the senatorial zone.
