A philanthropist, Mr Abdulkareem Shittu, has restated commitment to supporting the less privileged and vulnerable members of his constituency as he distributed rice to them.

Shittu also expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and all the All Progressives Congress, APC, party leaders in Ikorodu and the country at large for a job well-done.

He commended their efforts in bringing about positive change and improvement in the lives of Nigerians, urging them to continue their good work.

Shittu, represented by the Director-General of the Abdulkareem Shittu Foundation, Mr Hassan Muhammed, said this at the End of the Year Free Rice Package distribution in Ikorodu, Lagos.

According to him, the primary aim of the distribution was to assist government and encourage people that Nigeria would be great again.

He said: “He emphasised the importance of supporting the less privileged and vulnerable members of the community, especially during challenging times. I am committed to doing everything in my power to support my community, even if I am not physically present. I am proud of my team for ensuring that this event was a success, and I am grateful to my constituents for their continued support.”

Also speaking, a member of the foundation, Mr Kazeem Shittu, stated: “This initiative is a testament to Shittu’s selflessness and compassion. He has always put the needs of his constituents first, and we are grateful for his leadership.”

Another member of the Foundation, Mr Shina Jaiyesimi, called on the beneficiaries to embrace the gesture in good faith and believe in the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He urged the people to support the government’s efforts to bring succor to the less privileged, saying: “We must work together to build a better future for ourselves and our children.”

As the distribution came to a close, his constituents expressed their gratitude and appreciation for his kindness.
