GOVERNOR Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, has directed the State Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) Mr. Charles Aniagwu, to take over the supervision of the State Ministry of Information.

With the directive, Aniagwu is expected to resume office on Monday, taking over from Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza as Commissioner for information.

Aniagwu is to oversee both ministries of Works (Rural Roads) and Information.

“He is overseeing the two ministries; he is not leaving as Commissioner of Works in charge of rural roads”, a dependable source close to Government House, said.

The source said the directive stemmed from the Governor’s desire to rejig the publicity machinery of the State government.

Aniagwu served as Chief Press Secretary to the immediate past Governor of the State, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa from 2015 to 2019 and Commissioner for Information under the administration from 2019 to 2023.
