Nigerians face numerous hurdles when it comes to moving packages, ranging from delays and high costs to a lack of secure options.

Ozi, a community-driven delivery app, has been launched to offer users an innovative way to send packages and earn extra cash.

The app connects people travelling to specific destinations with those needing package deliveries, transforming routine trips into money-making opportunities.

Ozi aims to disrupt the $460 billion global Courier, Express, and Parcel, CEP, market with its unique approach.

Co-founder and CEO of the platform, Engr. Christian Chime, while speaking at the launch in Lagos, said the app will help Nigerians turn their routine trips into earning opportunities while providing a cost-effective alternative for package deliveries.

Explaining how it works, Chime said: “Imagine travelling from Lagos to Abuja with extra space in your car. With Ozi, that space can earn you money by delivering a package along the way.”

Ozi connects verified travelers with senders in need of reliable, affordable delivery services. “Why travel empty when you can earn? he asked. This platform leverages the daily movements of Nigerians to create a fast, efficient, and cost-effective logistics network.”

Co-founder and CTO Azubuike Augustine emphasized Ozi’s focus on safety and transparency, stating, “Every user undergoes ID and phone verification, and packages can be tracked in real-time. For high-value items, we also offer optional insurance.”

Highlighting the app’s potential, COO Ikenna Ani announced that Ozi would launch on Google Play Store and Apple Store on January 1, 2025.

Ani said: “From today, travelers and senders can sign up on our website and start making every trip count,” he said.

By prioritizing community, security, and affordability, Ozi aims to transform Nigeria’s logistics landscape, providing a win-win solution for travelers and senders alike.
