Association commends Makinde’s performance in education, infrastructure

Commotion in Ibadan as ‘Yoruba Nation’ gunmen try to seize Oyo Gov’s Office, state Assembly

Mufutau Olanihun Comprehensive High School Old Students Association, MULCHOSA, has expressed satisfaction with Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State performance.

National President of MULCHOSA, Mr Badmus Olatunji, and Vice President, Mr. Daniel Ayantoye, in a statement, said Makinde has shown exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to education and infrastructure development in Oyo State.

They stated that Makinde would be awarded the Best Governor Award at the association’s 2024 National Reunion Week.

The ceremony, according to them, would also feature a posthumous award for the school’s founder, late Alhaji Mufutau Olanihun, who would be recognised for his extraordinary philanthropic efforts, including constructing and equipping multi-million-naira school facilities that he handed over to the state government.

The statement, which said the event would be chaired by the Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Professor AbdulWaheed Salihu, while the Father of the Day is the CEO of Ilaji Resort, Engr Dotun Sanusi, noted that the event was scheduled for Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the school premises located in Oremeji along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Other dignitaries to be honoured at the event include Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade; Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke; Chairman of Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Service, Hon. Ibrahim Salako; Oyo State House of Assembly Member, Hon. Waheed Akintayo; Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area, Engr. Akeem Olatunji; and Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government Area, Ibrahim Akintayo.
