Founder of Football Fans Tribe, Tokoni Joseph Iderima, has shot up the game a notch higher after successfully hosting a meet and greet programme attended by about 300 football fans and followers of the social media platform.
Defying earlier fears, the event held in a university complex in Port Harcourt, further solidified Football Fans Tribe’s place as a strong force for the unification of football fans in Nigeria.
Speaking in an interview with journalists, Iderima said Football Fans Tribe’s meet and greet program brought together football fans from diverse backgrounds, fostering camaraderie and shared passion for football. Attendees engaged in lively discussions, participated in interactive games, and took part in photo opportunities with fellow enthusiasts.
“It was such a great event, which exceeded all out earlier expectations as we did not plan for such a turn out of fans. It is really an eye opener and has made me to further realise the impact Football Fans Tribe is having in the society. With this, we must raise the bar and aim higher in our desire to provide only the best for our fans and followers”, said Iderima
Despite concerns over limited publicity time, Iderima’s vision for a shared community space resonated deeply with fans.
“I was skeptical about the turnout due to the short notice,” said the Football Fans Tribe founder.
“However, the overwhelming response has been truly humbling”.
Football Fans Tribe’s exponential growth since its inception in 2019 underscores Iderima’s commitment to promoting Nigerian football culture. With over 2 million followers and a monthly reach of 35 million, the spcial platform has become a beacon of hope for football enthusiasts nationwide.
