Next Chapter: Liveparte joins Nuu Technologies

By Kenneth Oboh

Nuu Technologies today announced the acquisition of Liveparte, an innovative platform transforming live concert streaming for event organizers, music enthusiasts, and independent artists worldwide. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2024 by Edidiong Ekong, Boluwatife Sokunbi, and Uchenna Uchechukwu-Njoku, Liveparte has rapidly emerged as a game-changer in the live music industry. By bridging physical and digital worlds, the platform democratizes access to concerts, festivals, and performances, making them available to global audiences via smartphones, tablets, and computers. This innovation addresses key barriers like high ticket prices, travel expenses, and geographical constraints, empowering fans to enjoy premium entertainment from anywhere.

Liveparte is designed with three core stakeholders in mind: event organizers, music lovers, and independent artists. The platform addresses fundamental challenges facing each segment of the live music ecosystem.

For music lovers unable to attend concerts due to scheduling conflicts or geographical limitations, Liveparte delivers cost-effective, high-quality experiences on everyday devices.

Alike, event organizers face equally significant challenges. According to an Eventbrite study, 68% of music festival organizers struggle with profitability, often limited by venue capacity and the purchasing power of their immediate geographical market. Liveparte enables these organizers to reach international audiences, boosts revenue through virtual tickets, and provides advanced analytics to support data-driven decision-making.

For independent artists, the platform unlocks global fanbases, enabling direct engagement and new monetization opportunities, such as virtual meet-and-greets and merchandise sales.

Since its launch, Liveparte has grown into a robust entertainment hub, offering features such as real-time interactions, multi-angle camera views, exclusive behind-the-scenes content, and bandwidth-optimized streaming for emerging markets with variable internet quality. Its analytics suite offers in-depth insights into demographics, engagement, and retention, helping users refine strategies and foster long-term loyalty.

Post-acquisition, co-founders Edidiong Ekong and Boluwatife Sokunbi will step away to pursue new ventures, while Uchenna Uchechukwu-Njoku, the platform’s technical visionary, will join Nuu Technologies as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With over a decade of expertise from roles at Fireflies and Pluto TV, Uchenna will spearhead the integration of Liveparte’s cutting-edge streaming tech with Nuu’s AI and cloud infrastructure, driving scalable innovations.

“This acquisition is a pivotal step in our vision to lead Africa’s digital transformation and make world-class entertainment universally accessible,” said Alan Begham, CEO of Nuu Technologies. “Liveparte’s proven model aligns seamlessly with our commitment to innovative software solutions that empower creators and consumers alike. By combining our engineering prowess with their streaming expertise, we’re set to redefine hybrid events, expand into new markets, and create unprecedented value in the $30 billion global live music industry. We’re thrilled to welcome Uchenna to our executive team. His leadership will fuel our next phase of growth, and we extend our best wishes to Edidiong and Boluwatife for their groundbreaking contributions.”

The deal underscores the rising momentum in Africa’s tech ecosystem, where platforms like Liveparte are bridging gaps in accessibility and inclusivity. Liveparte will retain its brand identity while benefiting from Nuu’s resources for faster product enhancements, geographic expansion, particularly across Africa, Europe, and emerging markets, and enhanced AI-driven personalization features.
