The Tincan Island Port Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju, has commended QNET’s innovative approach to youth empowerment through direct selling, wealth creation, and entrepreneurial development.
He described the model as a catalyst for crime prevention and a tool for fostering meaningful youth engagement.
Speaking at the QNET Products Expo in Lagos, which showcased a wide array of the company’s innovative offerings, Mr. Ofoyeju highlighted the importance of initiatives that keep young minds productively engaged, thereby reducing the risks of crime and other social vices.
He said: “This initiative has the potential to keep young minds productively engaged, reducing the risk of them turning to crime or other vices.
“For us in the security industry, programmes like this are highly welcomed. By creating opportunities for youth to diversify their income sources and build networks across the country, we can help foster a safer and more prosperous society,” Mr. Ofoyeju stated.
He emphasized the broad market potential of QNET’s diverse product offerings, which include cosmetics and jewelry, as an entry point for young Nigerians to develop entrepreneurial skills and sustainable income streams.
“With over 200 million people in Nigeria, the market is here. QNET’s products not only add value to health but also provide an incredible platform for wealth creation and youth engagement,” he added.
Mr. Ofoyeju urged stakeholders and young Nigerians to embrace QNET’s direct selling model as a pathway to personal growth and national development.
“This is something stakeholders should jump at. It has the capacity to generate wealth, increase productivity, and contribute to national progress. Programmes like this can steer our youth away from vices and toward meaningful contributions to society,” he noted.
The NDLEA Commander reiterated the agency’s support for initiatives like QNET that align with the mission of creating a safer environment by addressing the root causes of crime through meaningful engagement.
“Anything that can engage youth meaningfully is something we proudly recommend. It’s an effective way to prevent crime while enabling young people to build networks and develop entrepreneurial skills that will benefit them for life,” he concluded.
Also speaking at the expo, CEO of TransBlue Limited, Dr. Akeem Ajisafe, emphasized the transformative partnership between QNET and TransBlue, which has facilitated multiple workshops and exhibitions to address misconceptions about direct selling and showcase vast opportunities for Nigerian entrepreneurs.
“This is the second or third time we are holding this exhibition in Nigeria to educate people about what we do and how we do it. We’re showcasing our products, ranging from health and educational products to hotel packages, so entrepreneurs can build their skills intentionally around specific product classes,” Dr. Ajisafe explained.
He highlighted the zero-capital nature of QNET’s direct selling model, describing it as a game-changer for young Nigerians. “Direct selling empowers individuals to sell products without needing significant startup capital. We provide training programs to teach participants how to market and sell, helping them create sustainable income streams. For those without funds to start a business, this is a zero-capital opportunity to build a lifelong earnings channel,” he noted.
Also, QNET’s Regional General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, Biram Fall, also underscored the significance of the partnership with Transblue.
He described the exhibition as an opportunity to demonstrate the value QNET brings to Nigeria and its commitment to entrepreneurial empowerment.
“This is our opportunity to showcase our products to the general public and stakeholders. It’s a pleasure to have you, members of the press, here today to witness what QNET is about, but most importantly, the partnership between Transblue and QNET,” Mr. Fall stated.
Through its partnership with Transblue, QNET is paving the way for economic growth, job creation, and meaningful opportunities for Nigerians, ensuring that the youth are equipped to drive the nation’s development forward.
