Minister Israel Onova, the pioneering artist at Innova Muzik, has unveiled his debut EP, Manifest, a six-track masterpiece born from a profound spiritual journey.
Known for his deep-seated passion for gospel music, Minister Onova’s artistry reflects a lifetime of devotion to faith and music, influenced by gospel legends such as Ron Kenoly, Don Moen, and Donnie McClurkin. Raised amidst the soulful rhythms of gospel hymns in Lagos, Nigeria, he has dedicated his voice to uplifting and connecting souls worldwide.
The inspiration for Manifest stemmed from a life-changing dream. Recalling the experience, he shares:
“In the dream, I was trying to prove to a friend that I had written a song playing on the radio. However, all the people who could validate my claim were deceased, leaving me with no evidence. I woke up feeling terrified, and it served as a wake-up call to take my music seriously. After praying about it, God began revealing songs to me, giving me four of the six tracks in dreams.”
The EP, featuring songs like Sing Hallelujah, I Will Praise, Most High, You Alone, Manifest, and Jehovah Reigns, explores themes of faith, gratitude, and divine purpose. On tracks like You Alone, Minister Onova reflects on God’s unwavering faithfulness:
“This song is my heartfelt expression of gratitude, celebrating the truth that He alone is worthy of all my praise.”
Minister Onova credits his experiences serving in children’s ministry, praise teams, and prayer groups for shaping his music and deepening his connection with audiences. He explains:
“Working with children taught me patience and passion for others’ well-being. As an intercessor, I cultivated empathy, and through praise teams, I developed a love for helping people connect with God through music.”
As the visionary behind Innova Muzik, Minister Onova aims to empower new ministers, nurture young talents, and advance the Kingdom of God through music. With Manifest, he delivers a body of work that not only celebrates gospel music’s rich heritage but also inspires listeners to embrace their God-given identity and purpose.
