The Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital (FNPH) in Benin City, Edo State, has been recognized as the third best hospital in Nigeria for effective service delivery.
This prestigious award of excellence, contained in an official letter dated November 12, 2024, signed by the Head, Reform Coordination and Service Improvement for the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Ali Muhammad Pate.
Professor Pate praised the hospital’s exceptional performance in delivering high-quality healthcare services, highlighting its commitment to excellence in patient care and satisfaction.
“This award of excellence as the third best hospital in effective service delivery is given to the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital Uselu, Edo State, for your distinguished performance in providing effective healthcare services to your customers,” he stated.
Dr. Imafidon O. Agbonile, the Medical Director of the hospital, expressed gratitude to the Minister for the award and pledged to maintain the hospital’s commendable standard of healthcare service delivery.
Notably, Dr. Agbonile was recently reappointed by the Presidency for a second term.
The award acknowledges the hospital’s dedication to providing effective healthcare services, and its leadership and staff are encouraged to continue striving for excellence. This recognition is a testament to the hospital’s hard work and commitment to quality healthcare.
The Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Benin City, provides various services, including psychiatric nursing, clinical services, and administration.
The hospital has undergone improvements, including the completion of the Clinical Sciences Building and furnishing of the Out-Patient Department and Administration Block .
