Founder, Crystal Academy, Akute, Ogun State, Dr Michael Oladun, has charged education administrators and policy makers to ensure that students are exposed to practical  entrepreneurship training for them to truly imbibe virtues that will make them competitive in today’s global market.

According to him, rhetorics and lip service to entrepreneurship training in schools is a great disservice to the education system and would only create wrong impression that the youths are being prepared for the challenges of the future while they are not.

He stated this during 20th anniversary of the academy and the 58th birthday of his wife, Mrs Charity Oladun, held at the school’s premises.

“Our mandate as an entrepreneurial educational institution is to revolutionise the educational landscape of Nigeria in particular and Africa in general. Ours is indeed a missionary vision to reposition the early stages of the new generation education, defined by Godly cum Christian ethos and life transforming values,” he said.

Oladun, who has written a number of books on different subjects, recently has his book on entrepreneurship approved for use in secondary schools across the country, and opined that students should be exposed to training in the subject from early age.

He called on Nigerians to learn how to do business with the fear of God, adding that cutting corners would in the end be fruitless.

Oladun, while giving the history of how the school started, said from three students and four staff members, it has grown and that the pioneer students were on 100 percent scholarship for the first year.

He added that the scholarship scheme set up called MikeCharis Skills Foundation has helped a lot of students and that the first student registered in the school, David Omoniyi Babatope, now a doctorate student in University of Dublin, is also supporting the sponsorship of students in the school.
