How InsurTech application boosts insurance adoption in Nigeria

One of the most difficult products to sell is Insurance. This is despite the huge value it brings, at critical times when one needs a reliable back up plan.

However,  technology has been seen as a tool that greatly enhances accessibility of such difficult fields.

Taking  advantage of the power of technology, Insurance brokers, Transparency Scape has launched an innovative InsurTech application, InsurEase, which is said can help make insurance better understood and easily accessible in the country

Managing Director and CEO of InsurTech, Mrs. Oluseyi Ifaturoti, highlighted the company’s mission to simplify insurance by leveraging advanced technology.

She said: “We aim to make insurance easy to understand and purchase, offering a seamless experience for our clients.”

She explained: “The InsurEase app offers a range of features, including real-time policy quotes, policy comparisons, quick issuance, personalized insurance recommendations, and digital claims processing.

“The app is designed to make the insurance process as smooth as possible, while providing clients with transparency and ease of use.

“To deliver a wide variety of insurance policies such as Life Insurance, Comprehensive Motor Insurance, and Third Party Motor Insurance, Transparency Scape has partnered with prominent insurers like Cornerstone Insurance Plc., AXA, NEM Insurance Plc., and Leadway Assurance Company Limited.

“These partnerships ensure that we offer clients diverse options at competitive prices,” she noted.

She stated that the company has aligned with regulatory bodies such as the National Insurance Commission, NAICOM, and the Nigerian Insurers Association, NIA to ensure full compliance with industry standards.

She said: “We have also collaborated with Budpay, a global payment infrastructure provider, to integrate a seamless payment gateway within the app, making insurance purchases hassle-free.

“Our commitment is to provide peace of mind and confidence to our clients through reliable and effective risk management solutions,” said Ifaturoti.

Similarly, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, Olufela Olurin, remarked: “Developing the app was initially a challenging task, but we are proud to have created a solution that empowers individuals and businesses to make informed insurance decisions with ease.”

Olurin further explained that while the app is free for customers, Transparency Scape has implemented a sustainable revenue model to ensure the platform’s longevity. “We are also exploring more partnerships to diversify our services and strengthen our business model, benefiting both our clients and the company.”

The InsurEase app will be available for download on Google Play Store and Apple Store for Android and iOS users. It can also be accessed through the Transparency Scape Insurance Brokers website and mobile app stores.
