MSSN Lagos advocates innovation, skill devt, trains 5000 students at HTC 2024 camp

The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Lagos State Area Unit (MSSN Lagos) has trained about 5000 students at its just-concluded Holiday Training Camp (HTC) 2024.

The HTC training themed, “Innovate and Advance,” was conducted across each of the 44 centres in Lagos State, taking hundreds of youths in different skills.“This year’s edition focused more on exposing the delegates to basic IT skills with special focus on Office Suites and Google Workspace. Participants were trained in the effective use of Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Presentation packages.“

The Amir of MSSN Lagos, Kamoldeen Abiona, in a statement, emphasized the critical role of innovation and skill acquisition in empowering the youth for the future. “Abiona stated, “At MSSN Lagos, we are committed to nurturing the talents and potentials of our young members. The HTC 2024, themed ‘Innovate and Advance,’ reflects our dedication to equipping youths with a diverse set of skills that are essential for personal and professional development in today’s fast-paced world.“

“Our goal is to provide a well-rounded training experience that enables students to discover their strengths and develop skills relevant to modern industry demands. By offering such a variety of courses, we ensure that our youths are prepared to tackle any challenge and seize opportunities in their future careers,” he added.

Abiona underscored the broader impact of the training on the community, saying, “By empowering these young individuals, we are not only fostering their personal growth but also contributing to the advancement of our communities.
