South-West governors meet in Lagos

The six governors of the South-West geo-political zone are expected at the Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja, Office of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for a crucial meeting.

As of 11.30 a.m., three of the six governors had arrived at the state House. Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, was said to be among the early arrivals.

Others expected are Oyo State, Seyi Makinde; Osun State, Ademola Adeleke; Ondo State, Luky Aiyedatiwa, and Ekiti, AbiodunOyebanji.

The crux of the meeting could not be ascertained as of press time. But it was gathered that it could not be unconnected with the ongoing minimum wage conversations between organized labour and the Federal Government; the security situation in the region, among other urgent state matters.

After a closed-door meeting, state house correspondents are expected to be briefed. 


Current information have it that the closed-door meeting has commenced.

Also, by 12 noon all the governors had arrived and then went in for the meeting.
