A senior lecturer in the General Studies, GS, Unit of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, identified as Mr. Mfonobong Udoudom, was on Monday caught while trying to sodomize his female student in exchange for grade.

It was gathered that the lecturer had vowed that the female student who is yet to be known at press time would never pass his course unless she submitted herself for sexual intercourse.

It was further gathered that trouble  started when the randy lecturer invited some female students to her office with a threat that they would fail his course if they failed to present themselves in his office.

“But, this particular lady who is married started begging the lecturer to collect money instead of sex when she eventually visited his office, but he refused, ” a university source told Vanguard.

In a viral video, the lecturer was seen naked and sobbing profusely.

A voice in the viral video said, “We have been following this case from day one. As you can see we have all the chats, voice notes, videos and everything.”

Commenting under the video, a student identified the man in the video, claiming he taught him Peace and Conflict Studies, a course under General Studies, during his time in UNN.

He said, “That is my lecturer in UNN, he taught us Peace and Conflict under GS in my time. We called him or rather, he called himself ‘The Short Man’. He was very strict with us in class. It is unfortunate that he was involved in this.”

When contacted to speak on the matter, the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Omeaku Okwun, said he was yet to see the video.

He said he would investigate to find out if it is true.

Meanwhile, a lecturer who pleaded for anonymity  identified the location of where the incident happened as a GS building.

This is even as a 400 level student of  Combined Social Sciences Department, UNN, John Elekwachi , has been declared missing after he was whisked away by unidentified uniform men who came in four Hilux vehicles.

In a statement released on Sunday by the President of Combined Social Sciences Students Association, UNN, Favour Okonkwo, and the Secretary General of the Association, Mmesoma Oboko, disclosed that Elekwachi, was last seen on April 15, 2024, at his lodge in Green House, one of the UNN host communities.

Part of the statement read “It is with concern that we announce that our classmate, Elekwachi John U. (John El) , has been reported missing. He was last seen on 15th April 2024,  at his lodge in Green House. An eye witness gave an alleged account of John being taken by armed men that arrived with four Hilux trucks but the name of the agency was not disclosed.

All efforts to get reaction from the Dean of Students Affairs, UNN, Prof. Edwin Omeje, on the missing student proved abortive as he did not take his call at press time.
