Queen Camilla seemed to have thrown a subtle barb at Meghan Markle with her choice of the outfit worn to the 2023 Royal Ascot.
Camilla, 75, wore a custom all-white Dior coat and dress for the occasion on Tuesday.
This comes days after news broke that Markle will not be signing a “mega-bucks” deal with the French fashion house, following reports that a contract could be in the works.

While the Duchess of Sussex is not officially partnering with Dior, she’s been a fan of the brand for years, having worn bespoke designs during her 2019 tour of Morocco, to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022 and on other official outings.

Markle even is rumored to have worn a full face of Dior Beauty makeup on her wedding day to Prince Harry in 2018, and sported Dior at Prince Archie’s christening in 2019.
Following initial reports that Markle was close to signing a deal with Dior, reps for both the duchess and the fashion brand denied a contract was in the works.

And the former actress is not the only one in the family to favor the luxury label; Prince Harry wore a three-piece Dior suit to his father’s coronation in May, among other occasions.
His late mother had deep ties to the brand as well, with the house famously renaming one of its most iconic purses the Lady Dior in her honor.
Camilla certainly got everyone talking by wearing the brand at this particular time, and sources tell Page Six that the Sussexes — and their absence from the annual horse event, where Markle once made her first post-wedding royal debut in 2018 — were on everyone’s mind.
“The gossip in the royal enclosure was how happy everyone was that Meghan and Harry weren’t here,” a source told us.
While one insider added that Camilla “remains furious” at the couple after Harry called her a “wicked stepmother” in his memoir, “Spare,” the family “blames Meghan for the entire mess.”
