Meghan Markle’s highly anticipated Netflix lifestyle series, “With Love, Meghan,” has been postponed by three months due to the devastating wildfire currently impacting Los Angeles, Netflix announced.

The series, originally slated to premiere worldwide this Wednesday, showcases the Duchess of Sussex engaging in activities like cooking, gardening, crafting and hosting gatherings.

In a statement released late Sunday, Netflix confirmed that the decision to delay the release was made at Markle’s request, with the new premiere date now set for March 4.

“I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,” Markle said in a statement on Monday.

A trailer for “With Love, Meghan” showed Markle cooking in her home kitchen, arranging flowers, trying her hand at beekeeping and spending time with famous friends.

Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, visited a meal distribution site for people affected by the Los Angeles wildfires last week.

They live in Montecito, near Santa Barbara, some 145 kilometres from Los Angeles.
