“Free your mind” is the latest piece of melodic acumen to be delivered by Afro-beat singer and songwriter, “Soft’’. A riveting experience curated to be his opening statement this year, 2023. Rumor has it that this Afro-pop killer tune hit the open markets on the 17th of February 2023 and is already a fan favourite, considering the amount of love it is getting.

It is a deep soulful song, a prayer if you will, aimed at motivating oneself to rise up to destiny as it beckons to you. It is a sweetly pruned blend of smooth tunes, gently easing you into a willful sway of the head. Soloshine and Zikobeat seemed to get the concise mood he was in and wanted to resonate too, as they revealed through their masterful strokes in rendering the beat that Soft landed this hit on. Meanwhile Swaps tidied it all up with the mixing & mastering.

Soft has been on a raging roll since the release of his ‘Vibrations EP’ last year, doing impressive numbers on distro platforms, a spike in show bookings and the release of visuals off the project. He, apparently, also has a lot more eruptive content lined up for us, with talks of another project dropping some time mid-year and a campus tour later in the year.
