ECOWAS Court declares Buhari’s Twitter ban unlawful
The Court declared the ban on Twitter in Nigeria by President Muhammadu Buhari unlawful.
He said: “This judgment against the Federal Government of Nigeria means a lot to us, the members of One Love Foundation and Oppressed Nigerians see the judgement as yes indeed there’s still hope for the common man, and yes no one is bigger than the law not even the so-called rich men and the leadership of Nigeria.”
Meanwhile, the social crusader advised Nigerians to seek redress at the ECOWAS Court for justice.
“You see, there are some judgment that are delivered in court which is being compromised by our leadership and in such cases I will advise Nigerians to approach the ECOWAS Court for fair justice”, he said.
However, he said his advice to President Muhammadu Buhari on the judgment is for the President to understand that power belongs to the people.
“Well, my message to President Buhari is that although it is already too late to go back to the change he promised during his campaign but then he should see this victory over him that yes power belongs to the people, you cannot use your position to oppress the people you are ruling forgetting that there is a law guiding us all, it is that law that makes all men equal and should you negate it then the law will take its course against you”, he stated.
Meanwhile, he (Eholor) called on the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Olukayode Ariwoola, to scrutinize and take out corrupt judges from the judicial system.
“My message again is straight forward and clear, the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola should ensure that they work on speedy judgement and ensure to scrutinize the bad eggs from the Nigerian Judiciary system so as to guarantee a fair trial and have the people believe in the judicial system of Nigeria”, he added.
