The Students Loan Hub program, with sponsors from nonprofit organizations and private companies, is a private student loan program that provides interest-free loans, sometimes called scholarship loans and scholarships, which are awarded to eligible post-secondary and undergraduate students that do not accrue interests at all.

This is to inform the general public that the application is ongoing for the 2021 /2022 Academic year. Providing interest-free loans and scholarships for post-secondary and undergraduate education to students based on financial need has been the core function of The Student loan Hub program since its creation. Application Details and Requirements

Applicants for our programs must be a post-secondary student who has enrolled in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination/ Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board entrance examination or an Undergraduate student who is currently enrolled in an

accredited university, polytechnic, college of education as a full-time student during the 2021-2022 academic year. All loans, scholarships, and grants are for students seeking their first undergraduate degree and are awarded for no more than five school years. No loans, scholarships, or grants are available for graduate-level studies.

General Eligibility

Applicants must be a citizen or residents of Nigeria. Applicants must also be of the ages 18-25years post-secondary students who must have enrolled and written UTME/JAMB entrance examination or an undergraduate student currently enrolled in an accredited Nigerian University, Polytechnic, or Colleges of Education.

Selection Criteria

We evaluate students based on their scholastic ability (1/3), extracurricular activities (1/3), and financial need (1/3). The applicant provides this information in the online application.

Process

We notify semifinalists in mid-December, and they must submit supporting documentation. We notify finalists in early January, and they must submit and a fully executed promissory note.

Interest-Free Loans

The interest-free loans are renewable annually for up to five years of full-time undergraduate study. The interest-free loan program currently provides amounts ranging from NGN50, 000 to NGN200, 000 loans per student each year. Students selected as loan recipients and their sponsoring parents must sign a promissory note before receiving funds. We disburse funds electronically before the commencement of the new academic year.
