“Our unwavering support for Governor  Wike and the PDP led government was tested at the polls and we stood our ground, hence, we expect the

Governor to reciprocate our love, loyalty, and support even as he appoints his cabinet, already we are not comfortable that youths are not reflecting in his inauguration list. Truth is, Neither our amiable governor or any party stalwart in the 23 LGA can say they gave money to the youths for one form of mobilization or the other,

Let me commend the Rivers youths for turning out en masse to vote and ensure that their vote counts in spite of the oppression, intimidation, and killings of our youths during the elections.”, he said.

He further enjoined governor Wike to implement  recommendations of the various commissions of inquiry set up on  electoral violence during the last elections, adding that the government should continue to pursue its security programs which had created jobs for  about thirty  thousand youths

“We urge His Excellency to be stringent in implementing the recommendations of the commissions’ reports irrespective of whose ox is gored.

We commend the governor’s resolute to pursue the establishment of the Neighbourhood Watch to a logical conclusion, in the same vein we will appreciate the review and continuing of the Land and Waterway Surveillance.

This security machinery empowered over 30 thousand youths across the length and breadth of Rivers state assisting the conventional security apparatus with intelligence gathering for overt and covert operations as the business protecting lives and properties of her citizenry as such money expense in the area of handling security is never lost. “, he said

“We wish to commend the governor for his proactive and pragmatic approach in tackling the increasing security issues in the state as enunciated in the recent town hall meeting held between His Excellency, kings and youth leaders within Rivers state is a step towards the right direction,

On our part, we have consciously designed creative windows of opportunities that will empower and employ over 200,000 youths or more before the next one year. We intend to work with the Governor and the State House of Assembly to initiate policy framework and reforms to increase internally generated revenue. Expand the scope of the creative industry as an alternative revenue earner. We will Rebrand and Reinvent the Image of Rivers State.”, he said.

He further called on youths of the state to shun cultism, related crimes like kidnapping  and work to promote peace in the state, adding that the state government should take steps to effectively empower the youths
