Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has confirmed that he’s planning to build the first ever Nollywood film studio in Lagos. The studio, when completed will make the country, “the next global destination for making blockbuster movies.”
The showbiz guru and founder of Silverbird Group made the confirmation recently, in a recent chat with nollywow. He said that he’s partnering with a French firm to actualize this noble dream, and already, they have acquired about 100 hectares of land in Lekki area of Lagos.
“Yes, I am working with a French private company. We want to built an amazing film studio in Nigeria, so that we can produce great movies. We have acquire about 100 hectares of land in Lekki area of Lagos State. It’s a big project, and it’s in the pipeline. The project can last for many years but we are trying to make it work.” The studio, when completed will definitely boost the nation’s flourishing film industry and create jobs,” he stated.
