The stakeholders of All Progressive Congress APC in Taraba state have described the processes of the ongoing ward congresses as so far so good.

The minister for women and social development Sen. Aisha Arhasan who spoke to journalist said the timely distribution of election materials to various wards was well conducted and have been done according to the guidelines of the party.


She also described the peaceful conduct of party members across the state so far as a welcome development that can lead to victory of the party in the state at the subsequent general elections.

She further revealed that all stakeholders of the party in the state had earlier agreed that wards that were located from difficult terrains in the state that could not be reached on time should conduct the congresses on Sunday.

The representative of Independent National Electoral Commission INEC Mr. Hamidu Ali who also spoke to journalist said the exercise was going on in a expected manner.

The INEC representative though noted a complaint from a stakeholder in the state Mallam Ahmed Yusuf saying there were skirmishes during the distribution of election materials to the wards.

Hamid said he has taken note of the protest by Ahmed  Yusuf and he is willing to take notes of all other factors that may go against the processes and guidelines of the congresses as set by the party.

The Ahmed Yusuf while speaking with Vanguard described the conduct of the congresses as so far 80 per cent.
