As 2019 Delta governorship election draws near, a group, known as Indomitable Youth Ambassadors for Delta (I.Y.A.D) has joined Hon. Kennedy Ochei in a bid to ensure that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is re-elected.
The group under the Chairmanship and directives of the Special Assistant to the Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, on Youth Mobilization, Hon. Kennedy Ochei explained the modus operandi with which they can sensitize the youths and the general public in state to ensure that His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is voted for as governor of Delta state come 2019 elections.
Hon. Ochei said; “From all visible analysis and works which the governor has done in his first tenure as the governor of the state, it is a thing of pleasure to declare that he is the best man for the office. Public schools renovations, Free healthcare implementations, Electricity provisions in most local governments across the state,road construction, entrepreneurial skills empowerment and financial mobilizations for the youths, and so much more.
“All these achievements just in a few years in office, has given I.Y.A.D a driving force and a positive hope for the future of all Deltans. Ochei talked about setting up a media in which we can reach out to the youths in 25 local government and the world at large.
“A Facebook group page will be unveiled soon to ensure transparency and create a massive awareness for the public, as every action, decision and achievement will be updated regularly so that the public at large will also be in the know. The various local government representatives that were present at the meeting were admonished to see to it that every youth, who is of age, gets a Permanent Voter Card (PVC) to enable them partake in the forthcoming general elections.
He urged the local government representatives to be focused so that they can achieve this in the 25 local governments of the state together with coordinators in each local government. He further agreed to go round the local governments with his coordinators and team of executives in all the local governments with what he tagged “Operation show me your PVC”.
