Congratulations, you have seen the end of the first two months of the year. Glory be to God! . I’m sure you know that God made you see the month of March for a purpose . If you believe this, get ready to march into your breakthrough.
Brethren, two months have gone and God has given you cause to be grateful. Perhaps all your desires have not been met, be assured that you will soon march over all challenges in the name of Jesus.
I am convinced that God is about to settle you.
When we have challenges or needs, we are worried. Therefore, the mind is not settled. No matter how you pretend, your mind will shift to that issue once in a while.
For instance , you just got a wedding invitation from a colleague in the office. This lady or man met you in that office as single and by the time he/ she gave you a wedding card, you are still single.
Or have you been invited to a naming ceremony by a relation but you have been waiting on the Lord for more than five years.
Perhaps in your office, new postings or letters of promotion have been released and you are not on the list because you have refused to compromise your Christian values.
Brethren, any of these situations can cause one to be worried. You might pretend not to be worried but you know you are pretending. So, when you get home and you are about to sleep, you reflect on these things and you begin to ask God, why am I the way I am? Sometimes, these thoughts lead to tears and you sleep off with your pillow soaked with tears.
Consciously or unconsciously at some point we all find ourselves in a situation where the words of Psalm 22 vs. 1 & 2 come to our minds . “ My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?”.
It’s human that we feel this way but when you remember that the one who created you has not forgotten you, then you cheer up.
Whenever you find yourself thinking like this, its okay to pray as simple prayer “ O Lord remember me. I put my trust in you, let me never be put to shame”.
You will find that once you have said this prayer, your mind will be at rest and you can sleep peacefully . If you are connected with the Holy Spirit, you are likely to hear his soothing words or indeed a promise of the manifestation of your miracle.
When God settles you, your challenges will be over. Your mouth will be filled with laughter. You will sing new songs so much that your neighbours will begin to see a different you.
What do you think will happen to a young graduate who has been jobless for over five years but suddenly secures a job with a multi national company.
Or a woman who has been married for over 10 years and has been the subject of ridicule by in-laws, neighbours etc. but just returned with a pregnancy positive result. Of course, she will sing new songs.
Brethren, in the name of Jesus, this month of March, you will sing new songs.
Why am I so sure ? I know that Jesus is always available to comfort those with a heavy heart.
My assurance that God will settle you is found in Psalm 40 verse 2 “ He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings”. When you are established, you are settled . Isn’t it?.
Read up Psalm 40 vs. 1-4. Verse 3 tells us what will happen to you when he has settled you. It states “ And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it , and fear , and shall trust in the Lord”.
We are assured that the miracle will be visible . Many not a few shall see it and fear the Lord . Why because, they will say, “ Only God can do this”. In the name of Jesus, that is the kind of miracle that God will give you and I.
They will not only see it, unbelievers will begin to trust your God. Many will be led to join you to worship the Lord.
God is a comforter. He will comfort you if you submit to him. You need to trust him fully and he will comfort you.
Second Corinthians 1 vs. 3 reveals God the comforter to us . “ Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort”.
Note : “ God of all comfort”. When he comforts you, you are settled. Your mind will be at rest and you will enjoy the peace of the Lord.
God of all comfort implies that there is no issue that God cannot resolve. Has someone taken away something that belongs to you? Was there a gang up against you that resulted in a loss? The solution is not to curse or fight anyone. Simply had over the case to God and he will comfort you.
The one is comforted by God is free from pain or anxiety. His comfort brings in joy to replace sorrow.
Psalm 60 vs. 1&2 tells us how God will comfort and the consequence of his comfort. Our emphasis though is in verse 2 “ For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee”.
By the grace, of God, this new month of March, the glory of the Lord will be seen in your life.
I’ll share with you the testimony of a young man who graduated in one of the universities in the southwest.
He narrowly missed his second-class upper by a few points. Some of his mates who made it, were engaged in some ungodly activities that gave them the grade.
The young man came home dejected because he knew he was not likely to secure a bank job , which he wanted so badly.
He was in this mood when I saw him one morning. Of course, I knew his thoughts because he had shared it with me . I then told him , to hold on to God and that he should take his mind off a bank job . I told him that there are better jobs that could give him more time to pursue his career.
God answered his prayer and he got a job with an agency in Lagos state. Within two years that he secured this job, he received series of letter of commendation and promotion. He also had the time to pursue his career.
As I speak today, he has moved to the federal arm of that agency with an enhanced pay and promotion.
Meanwhile, some of those who engaged in ungodly activities to secure higher grades in the universities are yet to be employed. Those of them, who are employed are not as comfortable as this young man who held on to God. If he had done what others did, he probably would not have secured a bank job and if he got one, he wouldn’t have had enough time to advance in his chosen career.
Brethren, the God of comfort is always available. He is ever ready to give you rest from all your troubles.
Relax, your testimony is around the corner in Jesus name.
