‘Okowa’s award testimony to prudence, focus’

The Voice of Freedom Network, a pressure group in Delta State, has lauded Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa on the award of Man of the Year 2017 by the Independent Newspaper.

In a statement made available to newsmen, yesterday, in Ughelli, the group, through its convener, Comrade Victor Adaka, commended Governor Okowa for being able to perform creditably well even “in the face of the present hardship imposed on the entire nation by the APC led administration” which according to it, had “destroyed the economy of the country while leaving helpless citizens at the mercy of murderous herdsmen currently ravaging the nation.”
According to the group, “Governor Okowa has been able to prove himself a working Governor with the lean resources available to him to the admiration of the common people of Delta State who are now beginning to see through the cheap lies of the opposition in the state.”

Describing the opposition in Delta as a “bunch of failed politicians looking for daily bread,” the group insisted that “the masses in Delta State are starting to appreciate their Governor for the numerous projects he is undertaking across the state that actually directly impact the lives of the average citizen.”

While canvassing support for the Governor for “a well deserved second term in 2019,” the group enjoined “all Deltans as well as all those who have unfortunately found themselves in the misguided opposition in Delta to embrace truth and join forces with the Governor in transforming the state and taking it to greater heights.”

“We urge all those who have been lured into the wilderness of meaningless opposition in Delta to come to repentance instead of just sitting idle in the comfort of their homes and hotel rooms always looking for ways to condemn a performing Governor.”
