A Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal  on Monday adjourned two motions seeking to relist two appeals in the ongoing legal tussle of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the South West pending before the court till April 12, 2018.

Recall that the Ado Ekiti division of the appellate court on Monday granted an order for a stay of execution  of the order and proceedings in a matter seeking the enforcement of an earlier judgment.

Meanwhile, one of the factional leaders, Eddy Olafeso had claimed that the order for stay of execution from the Ado-Ekiti Division of the appellate court had conferred legitimacy on him, but the Makanjuola  Ogundipe-led exco insists it remains the authentic executive with the legitimacy to participate in  Saturday  convention owing to the fact that it has a subsisting judgment that is yet to be stayed or set aside on appeal.

In a statement issued in Abuja yesterday, Ogundipe said his group executive would attend the convention, regardless of the position of the other appellate court; a claim the Olafeso group is also making.

Specifically, two PDP matters came up  Monday  at the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal.

The first, CA/L/863/2016 was said to be  between PDP and  Pegba Otemolu & others,  while the second case CA/L/864/2016 was between PDP and Mr. Adebayo Dayo & others.
