Everton have confirmed the appointment of Sam Allardyce as the club’s new head coach in a deal that will last till June 2019.

Allardyce who was around to see Everton thump West Ham 4-0 in a week 14 game on Wednesday will try to steer the club back to the upper half of the table and probably challenge for a European spot.

Everton becomes the 7th English club managed by the former England coach.
