Buhari should step down for youthful  presidential  candidate in 2019 – Group

ABEOKUTA – A group of youth under the umbrella of the League of National Patriots has called for a youthful President to replace President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 general elections, saying, the youth will perform better than old and aged people if elected into power .

The National Coordinator of the league of national Patriots ,AbdulKareem Abdulahi stated this in Abeokuta at a press briefing ,stressing that the solution to the country’s challenges is to have vibrant and intelligent youth in Power in the coming election.

The youth however, President Buhati has fine his best, but, if the people of the country could allow a youthful person to emerge as the next President in 2019, the country would be betrer off.

The youth body however, announced its intention to mobilise one million voters card carrying youth in Ogun state to install an intelligent and trust worthy youth in the coming 2019 elections.

He said “from our research, We have discovered that so many of our youth have actually gone into Political apathy which is not healthy for our nation and as a result we have decided to take it upon ourselves to sensitise our youth and to ensure that they make voting an utmost importance.

“To start with, we are going to have an awareness movement to tell the Youth of the need to have there PVC and be actively involved in the coming general elections.

“Our target at the end is to guarantee a million strong youthful voters card carrying members in Ogun state before the 2019 general elections.

“We want to have a group of reliable youth who will assume the leadership position responsibly and also perform with honesty.

Speaking on the corrupt practices of politicians, Abdulahi said “It is also in our plan to preach against Godfatherism nor favouritism because it is when things like these are eradicated we can not move forward in this country.”
