ABUJA—PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, met with security chiefs at Presidential Villa, Abuja.

It was the normal regular weekly meeting where heads of security operatives meet with the president to brief him on the security situation in the country.

There was some form of anxiety on what could have been the outcome of the meeting, which lasted a bit longer than previous meetings, but non of the security chiefs talked to journalists after the meeting.

Among the Service chiefs in attendance were Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-General Tukur Buratai; Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Ibok Ibas; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Abubakar Sadique, and Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olonisakin.

Also present were National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno; Director-General of Department of State Service, DSS, Lawal Daura; Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali; Acting Director-General of National Intelligence Agency, NIA, Arab Yadam, as well as the representative of the Inspector-General of Police.
