A CHIEFTAIN and House of Assembly aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in   Ughelli North constituency 1, Barr. Matthew Onojighofia Omonade, has said the party is working assiduously to take over power at the local government level from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,   at the forthcoming January 6th, council polls.

The House of Assembly hopeful who made this statement while commending the members of the APC Ughelli North Screening Committee for both chairmanship and councillorship aspirants, said he has implicit confidence that the party will come out with credible and viable candidates to unseat PDP.

While commending the APC chairmanship aspirants, Comrade Evans Akponana, Engr. Goddey Avwunuvie and all the ward councillors who faced the screening, the legal luminary said their display of maturity during the screening exercise was highly commendable

He extolled the leadership of the APC in the state for their commitment and doggedness in bringing the party to a place of pride and emphasized that Deltans are looking unto APC to liberate them from bondage.
