Iwobi trusts Rohr to make best selection

By John Egbokhan
Uyo – Alex Iwobi said Thursday that it was up to coach Gernot Rohr, to decide who starts for the Super Eagles when they clash with Zambia’s Chiopolpolo in the FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifiers on Saturday.

Iwobi missed the back-to-back tie against Cameroon and the games revealed that the Arsenal’s up and coming striker was not missed, however, Rohr said Iwobi’s inclusion into the team was an added option in the star studded Super Eagles strike force featuring Victor Moses, Odion Ighalo, Victor Moses and Kelechi Iheanacho all who scored in the games against Cameroon.

“We are looking for a good performance as a team. But it’s up to the coach to select the best players for the team…It is a team game. “All I know is that if I am called upon to represent my country I will be ready and prepared,” said Iwobi yesterday in Uyo.
