Sales rep docked over theft of N10,000 nail treatment solution

Lagos—A sales representative with an Information Technology Company, Blue Print Tech-nology, Ronke Adeyemi, 33, was yesterday docked before an Igbosere Magistrate’s Court for allegedly stealing a nail solution Varisi, from Prince Ebano Supermarket, valued at N10,000.

The defendant was charged before Magistrate Folashade Botoku.

Adeyemi, who is standing trial on a count charge of theft, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The prosecutor, Sergeant Chinedu Njoku, told the court that the defendant committed the alleged offence on September 8, at about 3:30p.m., at Prince Ebano Supermarket, at Admirality Way Lekki Phase 1.

He said that the item stolen by the defendant was worth N10,000.

However, the defendant pleaded innocence to the crime.

Counsel to the defendant, Mark Aliu, urged the court to grant the defendant bail in the most liberal term, as the offence committed was bailable, adding that she was still presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Consequently, Magistrate Botoku admitted her to bail in the sum of N10,000, with one surety in like sum, who must be a tax payer.

She adjourned the case till September 27 for mention.
