PORT HARCOURT: Rivers state Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has denied any link with, “I See You”, a group that allegedly led 8,500 members to the All Progressive Congress, APC, at a rally in Port Harcourt on Thursday. National Leader of the group, Mr Chizi Nyeomasila had told newsmen at the rally attended by a mammoth crowd on Thursday that the “I See You” group was formerly a pro PDP group in the state but they had to defect to the APC because they were now convinced that the APC , had better package for people of the state.
Meantime, Chairman of the PDP in the state, Mr Felix Obuah in a statement yesterday said the “I See You” group was at no time known to the PDP or leaders of the party , saying it was a body of alleged political jobbers.
Obuah who spoke through his media aide, Mr Jerry Needam said the group merely threw up the name of his party to gain political relevance, stressing that people should ignore the group
“There is no doubt that “I See You” Group’ is another prank by the APC to divert the attention of the government and the PDP who are focused on the improvement of the well-being of the people and overall development of the State.
“The PDP in Rivers State do not know this faceless group abinitio. They are at their best a bunch of professional political jobbers who are ever ready to play the script of their pay masters, the APC”, Obuah declared.
