With a conscious effort calculated at discovering and liberating talented active youth from poverty by helping them to maximise their potentials aimed at acquiring wealth,  Lastresort Entertainment, in partnership with Global Resources Limited and entertainers such as singer, Omawumi, comedian, Akpororo, Kiss Daniel, Thin Tall Tony of BBNaija 2017, MTN Project Fame 3^rd runner up, Ada, professional dancer and choreographer, and many others, have announce the maiden edition of a unique talent hunt project tagged Nigerian Icon.

The talent hunt which is scheduled to kick off in November 2017, on Wazobia TV, will cut across four major artistic talents to include; singing, dancing, comedy and pageantry, producing four ultimate winners at the grand finale which will take place in January 2018. Winners for each category will cart away grand prizes of two million naira cash, a Hyundai Elantra SUV and a two years artiste management deal each. 1^st and 2^nd runners up for the singing category will go home with cash prizes of one million and five hundred thousand respectively, while consolation prizes such as mobile phones, Ipad and Laptops will be given to the 1^st and 2^nd runners up in the other 3categories respectively.

According to the Project Director, Mr. Kayode Ogunyankinnu, delectable singer and songwriter, Omawumi Megbele, and comedian, Akpororo, are the guest judges for the reality show, while they are still in talks with Kiss Daniel, Chika Ike, Kaffy, Idia Aisien and others to key into the project.
