OKOWA  Mandate Group, OMG, a political pressure association in Delta State, has extolled the state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, for successfully piloting the affairs of the state in the last two years, despite the poor economic situation in the country.

Director of Mobilisation , OMG, Chief Combolus Ikisa, in a statement in Warri, said: “He has truly delivered dividends of democracy to the electorate. His appointments into political offices in the state adequately cut across all the three senatorial districts.”

“Dr Okowa has empowered and employed over 40,000 persons within two years of the administration. Projects initiated by the administration spread across the basic needs of mankind, such as in housing and health care delivery.

Out of the numerous road projects initiated by the administration, 50 of such roads have been commissioned and massive road projects have been inaugurated in the riverine   area like never before, and such works are progressing,” he said.

Ikisa asserted: “As a multi-ethnic state, Dr Okowa has continued to build bridges of unity across the state, conflict resolution   is one of the key programmes of the administration., We urge traditional and opinion leaders to effectively key into the SMART agenda of the governor to bring peace to warring communities as there cannot be development in an atmosphere of rancour.”
