AS part of its own contribution towards the peaceful conduct of the November 18, 2017 governorship election in Anambra State, and also in line with its corporate social responsibilities, in giving adequate security to the environment where it operates, Intafact Beverages Limited Onitsha has donated five vehicles to the Nigerian Police and one to the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in the state.
Handing over the vehicles, Otunba Michael Daramola who is the Corporate and Legal Affairs Director, Nigeria and Ghana, ABInBev, the parent company to Intafact Beverages Limited Onitsha, said the donation is coming at a time the state is conducting all important governorship election and the ember month when the Police and the FRSC have a lot of work to do to ensure security in the state and beyond.
“The Police are the crime-fighting organization whose job is significant in all aspect of the development of the society. We are, therefore, donating these six Pick Up Vans to the Nigerian Police and the Federal Road Safety Corps to ensure security of lives and properties in Anambra State, particularly to provide security now the governorship election is at hand and the ember months when crime rises to its peak and accidents caused by recklessness occurs regularly.”
