ABUJA- EX-MILITANTS under Third Phase Amnesty group yesterday, urged the Presidential Amnesty Office to discard payment claim by expelled member, one Gabriel Ebuo, over purported eight months unpaid stipend.

This was contained in a statement signed by the leader of Bombor to Bomber Camp, Third Phase Amnesty, Elvis God’spower, who said Ebuo has been removed from the group due to financial crimes and fraudulent habit he demonstrated.

According to him (God’spower) the said expelled member from the camp made up of 70 ex-militants under Third Phase Amnesty Group ceased to be a member and that led to his non- payment of his allowances for the months he claimed the Presidential Amnesty office owes him as published in one of the national dailies recently.

He said: “It has been drawn to our attention that one Gabriel Ebuo has been going around and spreading false information that the Presidential Amnesty office is owing him eight months of his monthly allowances as ex-militant under Third Phase Amnesty group.

“He has also gone ahead with this falsehood by granting interview, which was published in one of the national dailies recently to tarnish the image of the Presidential Amnesty office on his alleged claim.

“We in Bombor to Bomber camp under Third Phase Amnesty group unequivocally state here that we are not part of Ebuo’s claim.

“I as the leader and owner of this camp has long ago removed him from my Bombor to Bomber camp due to misconduct and fraudulent habit. The said Gabriel Ebuo ceased to be a member of the Bombor to Bomber camp from the day he was removed.

“He is no more a beneficiary of the amnesty programme. This action cannot be questioned by any authority because it is not their responsibility to do that and cannot decide for the leaders of each camp. The camp leaders decide on whom to benefit at a given point in time and so forth.”

According to him the camp is made of many followers and since the number of slot given to the camp by the federal government cannot go round, the alternative plan is for the camp leader to use a rotating system to enable all to benefit. With this an individual cannot be allowed to continue to run away with the ‘sweat’ of other members.

Meanwhile, confirming the development the National Secretary, Third Phase Amnesty, Comrade Tam Odogwu, said the matter was brought to their notice and the action by the leader and owner of Bombo to Bomber camp, God’spower against the removed, Ebuo, was granted since that was the rule of his camp.

According to Odogwu Ebuo was just boy in Bombo to Bomber camp and not a leader under Third Phase Amnesty as he claimed, because the documents with them never gave the position of leader, there he has become an impersonator.

“The leader and owner of Bombo to Bomber camp, Elvis God’spower, has notified the leadership of Third Phase Amnesty, that Gabriel Ebuo ceased to be their member due to criminality discovered in his attitude towards other members of the camp.

“Ebuo has been running away with money’s paid by the Presidential Amnesty office for their camp through the Third Phase Amnesty, which he will be delegated to pay other members of the camp but he will run away with the money. That made him to be removed from the camp and the Presidential Amnesty Programme, therefore he is no more a member. So we don’t know him anymore as our member under Third Phase Amnesty group”, Odogwu stated
