THE valedictory service and graduation ceremony for the 2017 graduating students of Westminster College, Lagos, took place amidst fun and cultural displays to the admiration of parents, guests and well-wishers.
The school revealed that this year’s edition had been exceptional as more than 90 per cent of the 26 graduating students recorded a stellar performance in GCE and JAMB examinations while they were still awaiting their WAEC and NECO results.
Acknowledging the achievements recorded by the students, the school’s managing director, Chief Johnson Barovbe, said “There is no better or finer moment for me than seeing you graduate with the qualification you set out to achieve. Your achievement is the culmination of years of planning by us and by you, and we are delighted and honoured to work with you to achieve high standard in General Certificate of Education (GCE) in 2016 while you were in SS2 and the high scores achieved in 2017 JAMB results.
“Out of the 26 of you, 90 per cent are already qualified for admission into any varsity in Nigeria and abroad while still awaiting for the 2017 WAEC and NECO results. You merited and deserved them wholeheartedly. As you are leaving Westminster College, the next stage of your journey is about to start and so I would like to say a huge thanks to you all for making the College such a vibrant, innovative and creative place in which to study.”
