What is and Who is Born-again? (II)

Brethren, the fact still remains that a sinner that con-fesses and forsakes his/her sins cannot be a born-again in the eyes of God and Jesus Christ until he/she makes correction.

Jesus said in Matthew 7:7: “Ask, it will be given to you…” In the same vein the Bible says in James 4:3-4: “that people ask they do not receive because they ask with wrong motives, that they may spend what they get for their pleasure.”

The people that ask and receive are those that are righteous in the eyes of the Lord. This is the reason why many people are requesting from God for some-thing but God wouldn’t grant their request. The Bible says in Roman 6:1 “what shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning, so that grace may increase?“

For a person to be born-again, the person must believe God, confess his or her sins. In case the person is a murderer, he/she must go to the victim’s place and confess to the family. May be they will forgive him/her. In case the person is a thief or armed-robber every item stolen must be returned in five folds. Then the person can be regarded and known as born-again.

Do not be deceived, a person that embezzled public funds meant for the benefit of several millions of people cannot be claiming to be born-again because he built a church or mosque, taking care of church members and giving pastors/imams money.

All these things are done from the public fund embezzled. All those things stolen must be returned and only then can the person’s prayer be answered.

Luke 19:1-9 says: “…Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.” And Jesus said to him: “Today salvation has come to this house because he also a son of Abraham.”

Imagine Zacchaeus did not get salvation until he returned what was wrongly acquired in fourfold. This Bible passage confirms that nobody gets salvation or becomes born-again until he/she returns what he/she stole and makes necessary amendments.

A car snatcher cannot be born-again until he/she sells the car and return the proceeds to the owners, according to Ezekiel 33:14-15. A person that used his/her power to oppress others must make amendments and begin to do good. Then he/she can claim to be born-again.

A school of thought says when a person is in Christ he/she has become a new creature and all things have passed away and it is finished. Brethren, nothing is finished. It can only finish when you forsake your sins and you do not owe debt of sins and become a new creature.

The statement made by Jesus on the cross that it’s finished does not mean all what Jesus did from beginning should not be talked about.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:17-20 that he did not come to abolish the laws but to fulfill them. That no letter would disappear from the law until everything in the law would be accomplished. Anybody that breaks the law or teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven.

But anybody that obeys and practises the law will be called great in kingdom of heaven. So can we do away the teachings of Jesus? No! Jesus came before the apostles so people should embrace and practise the teachings. The ministers of God as well as Muslim clerics should be telling their followers the truth so that they know what it takes to make heaven.

Our teachings should be based on inheritance of kingdom of heaven because Matthew 19:16-30 says: “…all these I have kept, the young man said. What do I still lack. Jesus answered if you want to be perfect go, sell your possessions and give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.

Finally, let people know that riches do not make people to inherit God’s kingdom. Imagine the rich man that did not commit any sin could not make heaven because he valued his wealth than God’s kingdom.
