In continuation of its smile makeover free treatment campaign and to promote basic oral healthcare among Nigerians, Smile360 Dental Specialists with support from Oral-B and Megalectric Ltd., has flag-off the season four edition of ‘Project Smile’ with the theme ‘Smile Alive!”
The initiative, aimed at restoring the confidence of individuals whom their mouth has affected their lives.
Speaking on World Oral Health Day, WOHD, in Lagos, the Initiator of Project Smile, Dr. Amy Traore-Shumbusho said that Project Smile 4.0 is about smile as a gift to share and giving opportunity to persons who can’t afford to share this gift because they ‘don’t have it’ due to a dental defect or flaw, to be able to do so.
“WOHD is a parallel platform which serves as our launching pad for the Project Smile initiative as it is a day set aside by the World Dental Federation, WDF, to give attention to oral healthcare and dental matters and issues on a global scale. As we launch the 4th season, it is pertinent to mention that 17 young men and women have become beneficiaries out of which over 50 percent have completed their smile makeover treatment.”
Shumbusho explained that the Project Smile 4.0 scheme seeks to award such deserving individuals a chance in a life time to correct this and have the perfect teeth. The project is only open to persons from age eighteen and above.
“As we launch Project Smile 4.0, I am excited to announce to the public that an 8-week call-for-entry/call-to-entry begins today. Interested individual can seek for more information on internet, social media among others on how to participate and take advantage of the call-for-entry entry phase to stand the chance of being a beneficiary.
“Entry is simple! Contestants should visit the Project Smile website, enter their bio data, picture, and story in no more 360 words.”
