UGHELLI— GOVERNOR Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State will soon inaugurate the Export Processing Zone, EPZ, interface committee geared towards the establishment of the Gas Revolution Industrial Park, GRIP, Ogidigben.
Speaking with newsmen in Ughelli, Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Special Duties, Besidone Eyengho, applauded the Federal Government, Governor Okowa and all the stakeholders involved in the project for their commitment in ensuring that the project was actualized.
Appealing to Deltans, particularly the Itsekiri of Ugborodo and Ijaw of Gbaramatu to maintain a peaceful atmosphere for the project which would be realized through a public-private partnership, Eyengho said: “The state governor has promised that very soon, he will inaugurate the EPZ committee to aid the takeoff of the project.
“On behalf of the state government, we thank the Federal Government particularly the acting president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo and the Minister of Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachukwu for the efforts made towards the realisation of this project and Governor Okowa for his zeal in ensuring that the project becomes a reality.”
