NTIC rewards winners of National Mathematics Competition, parents

THE Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC), recently, awarded N300,000 to Bhardwaj Ishi from Indian Language School, Lagos, who emerged winner of its 2017 National Mathematics Competition.  She also got full scholarship for her post-primary school education just as her parents were also awarded N200,000 for being good parents.

This year’s edition,  was the 14th of such competition  held at the Imperial Hall, Alausa, Ikeja recently.

Bhardwaj Ishi, referred to as Genius in Mathematics, scored 97.56 in the mathematics competition, which had students from across the country, while Chukwuanukwu Kachi Patrick of God’s Wisdom International School, Anambra State, came second scoring 95.18 to clinch N200,000 as well as full post-primary school scholarship and other interesting prizes and awards to winners and their parents.

James Venor of Bimstar Montessori School, Lagos, who scored 94.98 emerged third position also won N200,000 cash prize and other awards for himself, his parents and teachers.

Coordinator of the competition in South West Zone, Mr. Fevzi Senkal, said the mathematics competition was zoned to five zones of North Central, South East, North West, North East, South West and Kwara.

In his speech, Managing Director of NTIC, Mr. Orhan Kertin, who came in from Abuja, noted that there was nothing more important for the future of both countries of both the Turkish, their host country, Nigeria and  their various pupils other than high quality education for all.
