As over 70percent reports are yet to be submitted

ABUJA-CHAIRMAN House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Mustapha Bala Dawakin has threatened all substantive committee chairmen to submit their 2017 harmonised Budget reports within the next 24hours or forefeit the right to appropriate estimates submitted by the executive.
In a letter read on the floor of the House by the presiding officer, Speaker Yakubu Dogara, Thursday, Dawakin said “over 70 percent of the committee budget reports have not been submitted.
He noted that the harmonised version of the 2017 budget reports must reach the committee’s secretariat within the next 24hours .
The chairman however in the letter said the penalty for non-submission is that any committee that did not submit by Friday (tomorrow) should accept the fact that the raw budget estimates from Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government, MDAs will be returned without the committee’s appropriation inputs.
